Generation Z—the 68.6 million young people born between 1997 and 2012—are facing a world of complexity, challenges, and longing. Only 4% of them hold a biblical worldview, and yet they are searching for meaning, connection, and hope. The question is: who will tell them about Jesus?
We’ve seen how deeply this generation struggles. Mental health issues are widespread, with 91% reporting symptoms of stress and anxiety. They spend an average of 4.5 hours per day on their phones, scrolling through endless streams of content, searching for something real. And while the statistics can feel daunting, here’s what gives us hope: Gen-Z is hungry for God.
How Deidox Is Reaching Gen-Z
At Deidox, we’ve felt God calling us to go directly to this generation. That’s why we’re actively visiting college campuses, meeting students where they are, and engaging them in honest, heartfelt conversations about faith.
We’re sharing miraculous stories tailored for Gen-Z—stories that speak to their struggles and point them toward the hope found in Jesus. And we’re praying for them. One-on-one, we’re asking God to bring peace, joy, and healing into their lives. These moments of connection are powerful, and they’re changing hearts. In Matthew 9:36-38 it says:
“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”
We have compassion on this people group and we are inviting them into the more of a relationship with Jesus. More love, more hope, more joy, more peace.
Why This Mission Matters
Gen-Z is facing a crisis of identity and purpose, but we believe that God is writing a story of revival for this generation. Through every conversation, every story shared, and every prayer offered, we see God working. But the mission is far from over, and we can’t do it alone.
