Mid-Month Encouragement: God is at work (April edition)

Greetings! We hope you’re having a fantastic April so far. As the month progresses, here’s a little encouragement to keep your momentum going! Included in this mid-month email are links and creative pieces that caused us to think, wonder, and brought fresh wind into our sails.

Remember, God is at work.

Pray with Us

”Lord, who fully knows the power of your passion and the intensity of your emotions? Help us to remember that our days are numbered, and help us to interpret our lives correctly. Set your wisdom deeply in our hearts so that we may accept your correction. Return to us again, O God! How much longer will it take until you show us your abundant compassion? Let us see your miracles again, and let the rising generation see the glorious wonders you’re famous for. O Lord our God, let your sweet beauty rest upon us. Come work with us, and then our works will endure; you will give us success in all we do.“

Psalms‬ ‭90‬:‭11‬-‭13‬, ‭16‬-‭17‬

Worship

Here’s a new song we found helped us enter into worship:

I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever,
I won’t want because you, you’re my good shepherd.
You restore my soul,
And my cup is overflowing.
I will never walk alone for you are with me
.

God at work in unexpected places

It’s so interesting seeing God move in unexpected places through media with huge audiences. Here is an interview clip from a very large secular podcast that garners millions of views. Inn it you see Ryan Garcia, a professional boxer, talk so very openly about Christ:

Jesus being proclaimed to millions of listeners. Amazing. And, if you look at the comments below the video you can see a bit of a glimpse of how God might have used this:

Chick Fil A

We shared this story with a friend this week and felt maybe we should share it here too. For those who are new to DEI DOX, this is a mini-doc we did 5 or so years ago that started with a simple question: “how might God be at work in a Chick Fil A?” Enjoy!

Testimony of African Inmates Transformed by Gospel Message:

In a prison filled with some of Africa’s most violent criminals, the atmosphere was as unsettled as the air before a thunderstorm. The inmates were restless and unafraid, too hardened by their pasts and hopeless about their futures to care whether they caused any more harm. Here, life was nothing more than a waiting game with every one of the 166 inmates destined for execution.

But none of this intimidated the missionaries and their medical outreach team who gathered outside the prison gates one Sunday morning. They were excited at the opportunity to not only treat the sick, but also present the gospel.

“It doesn’t matter if men don’t need them anymore because of their wickedness,” the missions team leader said. “We know that the Lord needs them for His kingdom. They must also hear the gospel of life of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Receive

Do you know what a benediction is? It is like a combination prayer request for God to bless His people and declaration that He delights to do so. It is like a really tasty dessert that comes at the end of a delicious meal. So in closing –

Benediction based on 2 Corinthians 13:14 TPT

”Now, may the grace and joyous favor of the Lord Jesus Christ, the unambiguous love of God, and the precious communion that we share in the Holy Spirit be yours continually. Amen!“

THANKS FOR JOINING US! We’re currently hard at work on a few new episodes of miraculous: stories of divine intervention. Lord willing the next will come out around May 1!
