Building off a 15 year legacy of bi-vocational film ministry, in 2023 Deidox was re-envisioned and re-launched as a “media missions” organization. Learn more below:
To help the Church reflect Christ and redeem culture.
A world where everyone sees and hears at least one story of God’s power and goodness. And, Lord willing, many more…
“Why should the unbelievers mock us, saying, ‘Where is this God of yours?’ But we know our God rules from the heavens, and he takes delight in all that he does.” (Psalm 115:2-3)
“Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.” (Romans 15:21 / Isaiah 52:15)
We see a path forward where the Church + Christian artists work together to know God and make God known. In fact, a healthy partnership between local churches and Christian artists is perhaps the greatest overlooked resource in the Church. For the first time in history, the content they create, as co-laborers, can go out through media into every area of society – every nation, tribe, and tongue. Together we can be media missionaries.

Our ministry name is a combination of a few words in latin:
Dei = God
Dox = short for “documentaries” & Dox(a) means “glory”
God’s stories, for God’s glory.
We believe there’s a higher value in creating work that glorifies God.
WE HOLD TO an open-handed approach. We see God as the only source of our talent and every opportunity to use it. This means we choose to repent of and resist our own ego or selfish ambition in order to be used by God however He wants.
WE CREATE in the context of community. We believe God gives the gift of creativity to connect people to Himself and one another.
WE TRUST in God’s economy. We approach our work like missionaries have for centuries – God over money.
Verses on remembering the work of the Lord:
(Emphasis added)
"When Paul had greeted them, he began to explain in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry. When they heard this, they praised God."
(Acts 21:19-20)
"God, glorify Your name! Yes, Your name alone be glorified, not ours. For You are the one who loves us passionately, and You are faithful and true.
Why should the unbelievers mock us, saying, “Where is this God of yours?”
But we know our God rules from the heavens, and He takes delight in all that he does."
(Psalms 115:1-3)
"…there arose another generation after them who did not know the Lord or the work that he had done for Israel. And the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals. And they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt. They went after other gods…"
(Judges 2:10b-12)
“My message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of mankind, but on the power of God."
(1 Corinthians 2:1-5)
"Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; proclaim his deeds among the peoples. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell about all his wondrous works!
Boast in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wondrous works he has done…"
(Psalm 105, TPT)
Deidox Films began in 2007 with two filmmakers who sought to help churches by producing short films that showcased real-life examples of discipleship and faith in action. Over the years, it has evolved into a nonprofit collective of Christian media filmmakers, dedicated to creating impactful media that helps people know God and make God known globally.
The founders, who have experience producing films on Showtime and Hulu, felt called to use their skills for faith-driven storytelling after working with underground churches overseas and influential ministries in the West, such as Fuller Theological Seminary’s Micah Groups through the Brehm Center. Deidox pioneered the release of short documentary-style testimonies online for churches to use in services, small groups, and outreach. Its innovations, such as being one of the first to use DSLR cameras for filmmaking, have shaped modern documentary storytelling.
To date, Deidox has produced 45 media projects that have been used by over 3,500 churches and ministry leaders to aid in discipleship. Its feature documentary Free Burma Rangers—a documentary following a special forces soldier and his family as they bring medical aid, relief, and the message of faith in some of the world’s most dangerous conflict zones—was the top theatrical documentary of 2020 and has been released on Amazon Video, Sony Pureflix, and RightNow Media, reaching over seven million people. Amazon has had over 2,000 5-star reviews.
Deidox’s capacity to produce high-quality, faith-driven media has grown significantly. Having recently launched a masterclass to train ministry-minded filmmakers in storytelling ensures impact that extends beyond Deidox productions. We desire to courageously multiply the work we have done alongside empowering churches and ministries to tell their stories too.
Does any of this resonate with you? Want to discuss the vision and mission with us? Curious about partnering?
As we stated above, Deidox has been in an exciting season that might resemble the garage phase of a tech startup. It is an exciting season of ideas, building projects, and taking open-handed & faithful steps. If you feel led, please either explore opportunities to get involved on our website or contact us directly.
